Learning Team Goals (May include project assignment goals, group process goals, quality level goals, etc.)

GUIDELINES FOR OUR TEAM’S GROUP PROCESS: All team members contribute.  Work is not posted until team is in agreement on posting.

Each team member takes full responsibility for their own contributions, yet is open to assistance from other team members.

OBJECTIVES OF LEARNING TEAM INVOLVEMENT: To learn from each other. To develop our ability to cooperate in a group situation.

ASSIGNMENT/ LT DQ COMPLETION PROCESS:

At the beginning of each week, the breakdown of responsibilities among the team members will be discussed and agreed upon.

What are potential barriers to the achievement of these goals?

Miscommunication, lack of or inconsistent individual effort and poor planning.

Ground Rules

Meeting schedule (if any), alternate means of sharing information besides asynchronous messages in the LT Newsgroup (by unanimous consent, only), attendance expectations and arrangements for posted transcripts (if IMs are to be used), agenda, notifications, assignment completion, etc.

Each team member will try to check in every night.  When there is an assignment due that night each group member needs to check in early enough to assist with any changes or finalizations.

How will communication among team members be facilitated? (telephone, e-mail, fax, etc.) E-mail or all if the situation should demand it.

Conflict Management

What are potential conflicts that might arise among or between team members during this course?

One group member might be doing more or less than the others. The lack of communication can result in duplication and then frustration.

How do team members agree together that they will deal with these and other conflicts?

Each group member will be responsible for a part of the project/assignment.

If a team member has not posted the necessary work by Sunday evening, I or another team member will make contact by phone to ensure that the necessary work will be completed. If a team member is not able to complete the work, they need to notify another team member by Sunday morning. That team member who did not complete the work will be expected to take on the next week's responsibilities of the team member who did have to complete the work.  If a team member does not adhere to the above expectations, the spokesman (or another team member) will let the instructor know. No credit should be earned by the non-participating team member for the week that the team member does not actively contribute (or make up with work the next week).
